iPad for business use is extending
| For 2014, through differents surveys, the use of the iPad for business is quickly growing. Despite the fact that the iPad has lost its privileged postion in the Tablet market with an iPad’s market share falling from 53% in 2012 to 36% in 2015, Apple is reigning on the Enterprise segment with an outstanding market share or 92% of the tablets activation in enterprises for the first quarter of 2014. As a matter of fact, Android, Lenovo, Asus and Microsoft tablets are eroding the gap between them and Apple on the consumers market. If Apple will have to deal with an increasingly fierce competition in this market, its future on the enterprise market is more promising than ever. Apple establishes itself far ahead its competitors and using the iPad for business is becoming the new standard: already in 2012, 22% already have implemented tablets to improve their process and 83% of those with plans for tablet adoption indicate they would choose iPad. The main reason which explains why companies prefer to roll-out iPad rather than other tablets is the availability of productivity tools (53%). Adding to this the new MDM tools offered by Apple and a massive BYOD phenomenon, the iPad is about to sustainably dominate the enterprise market, as Microsoft did with Windows during the 90’s and 00’s. |
